Reasons for not getting a paycheck?

today is payday. i'm an hourly worker. i get a direct deposit, but we are always given paystubs. for some reason, mine wasn't there at all. and i sure have been working plenty. i called the bank, and no payment has hit my account, so it's not a matter of the stub just showing up. any suggestions? it's a holiday weekend so i have to wait a while to call. we get paid through paychex. is there an explanation for this?

Your company is probably going through financial tough times?  Technically speaking, company can deposit the money on the last day of the month, which is 31st, but it happens to be Sunday.  In that case, you will see the funds only on Tuesday, as Monday is Labor day.

Usually it is supposed to happen today due to the weekend scenario.  Ironically, what an extraordinary way to honor the labor of ordinary people like you on the Labor day!/
