Reasons for rectal bleeding in a child?

In a 4yo boy, does anyone know what are some causes why he has some rectal bleeding?

  1. Is this a joke? The kid may be sexually abused.


  2. it can be a hemorrhoid. If he has an external one there's a thing that looks kinda like a grape that comes out of the rectal, and it's filled with blood, so it pops during a stool. Something like that. It could be internal and you don't see it. Ask a doctor, she can take a look, and there's over the counter pads and ointments for hemorrhoids. They're really really easy and the wipes you can put in your purse and travel with it and all. Oh and if his stools are hard, that could mean constipation...which causes hemorrhoids.
