  1. because Antarctica is the only continent in the world that doesn't have people living on it. So it doesn't have houses, or power stations, its mostly nature. Several countries own Antarctica so they make sure it's not being abused, and is left untouched by people.

This attracts animals, mostly birds, Its also a great spot for photography and filming wildlife. Its expensive to get to Antarctica, and mostly people only go on a boat trip, which only allows you a few hours on Antarctica. Although most people think, 'Why do you want to spend thousands of pounds/dollars to go a huge iceberg?' you don't just see lots of ice and snow. You also see things you wouldn't see in towns or cities, or even in the country side. You can't really explain what its like, until you actually experience it. Its a really beautiful place. And should be left untouched. also there are penguins..

Its a shame though about the theories of Antarctica melting and then flooding the world. And wiping out all human life. Kinda makes you angry...

  2. Beautiful pristine beaches

  3. There are none... lets leave this one place in a decent position without adding to its pollution... science fine... tourism ...who provides hotels and backup who cleans up after the cleaners

who deals with the affluent...not the rich!!!

They leave the sh*t for the rest of us.

  4. To see how the Antarcticans live ?

  5. People go to see the amazing wildlife (penguins, whales, seals, birds etc) and the fantastic scenery.  There are boat trips you can take from Australia, New Zealand and South America.  There are no hotels down there and there never should be.  The boats take everything down they need and bring all the waste back.  The only pollution is from the engine of the boat (and potential oil spill if one of them sank).  You can only go down there are few months of the year (around Nov-March).  People who have gone there say it is truely spectacular.

The Japanese unfortunately go down there to hunt whales also.
