  1. Almost all of your points are only true if you are a bad parent or a financial failure in life. You would only have yourself to blame, not the childre.

    1. Children do NOT ensure companionship, health or care in old age.

But this is not a reason to have them. Its like saying don't have children because they won't give you super magical powers.

    2. There are enough people on this Earth.

Quality is more important than quality. I prefer to make my own kind of people.

    3. Every extra human decreases land, water, mineral resources.

So? What are those resources form if not for us to use them?

    4. Every human increases pollution.

    But not significantly.

    5. Every human increases over population issues.

Not true. Healthy, educated, productive people add more than they take.

    6. Children (including myself) have a difficult time leaving home at 18 years old.

    Only poorly raised, immature ones.

    7. Children increase expense... by ALOT!

True. Definitely true. But so do nice cars, and jewelry, and vacations, and alot of us have no problem affording them.

    8. If I was to decide to have a kid, I could never reverse that decision.

    True.

    9. My child my have more children, which I may be forced to support.

Not of you raise your children properly.

    10. If the child is disabled, I will have to support it for the rest of its life (not to mention health expenses!!).

    True.

    11. Because of the financial responsibility, I will not be able to enjoy much of what I want to enjoy in life... expensive cars, traveling etc.

Only if you are a failure.

    12. Early retirement is almost completely out of the question!

Only if you are a failure.

    13. Children are destructive... whatever they break, I have to replace.

    Not significantly, if raised well.

    14. The high chance of living paycheck to paycheck does not sound like fun to me!

Again, only if you are a failure.

    15. Toys are RIDICULOUSLY annoying!!!

The only difference between men and boys is the price of their toys.

    16. College education costs thousands of dollars and increases each year!

Again, only a concern for financial failures.

    17. Schools are unable to discipline children and any bad behaviour can and WILL be exposed to the child.

Kids learn from bad examples as well as from good ones.

    18. Sleep deprivation anyone?

    True.

    19. I will not be able to do anything spontaneously (by myself)

    Exaggeration.

    20. Need a Baby sitter everytime we want to go out??

    So? Get one.

    21. Carrying on an adult conversation with someone with most kids is pretty difficult... CONSTANT interruptions.

    Only with pooryl raised children.

    22. Spending time with friends becomes increasingly difficult and I may even lose touch with those friends.

Time, yes... losing touch, no excuse for that to happen.

    23. Hobbies are a difficult thing to maintain when children are involved as well.

You can share (at least some of) your hobbies with them. It's fun.

    24. Children will scream, cry and yell constantly when they are young, stressing patience and destroying peace with their noise. As teenagers they will blast music (or worse, make it) with the same effect.

    True. Buy a big house.

    25. Teenagers are typically abusive, rude, sullen and uncontrollable.

    Only poorly raised ones.

    26. I will have no privacy

    Exaggeration.

    27. The things I treasure may be lost, stolen, or destroyed by the children

Not if you raise them properly.

    28. I will be constantly exposed to aggravating, mindless child-oriented entertainment such as cartoons, kiddie videos and music.

You are the grown up, you get to make those choices.

    29. Nagging children to get them to do things (I should know cause you have to nag me too!) will drive me crazy

    Only poorly raised ones.

    30. Children have no discretion... anything I say will be repeated at any time!

    Only poorly raised ones.

    31. s*x.... HA!

    True.

    32. Sami (my gf) and I will fight about child-raising practices.

Not of you sort that out BEFORE you have children.

    33. Studies show that childless marriages are HAPPIER than marriages that include children!

    Possibly true.

    34. Because sami is religious, I will be forced to attend religious practices that I do not wish to attend to!

This is nothing to do with having children.

    35. The economy is horrible, good homes are becoming unaffordable, taxes are increasing, oil is highly limited, good jobs are hard to come by etc.

This again has nothing to dow ith having children.

    36. Smell...children smell, I can't stand the smell of diapers and I simply can't stand the general smell of a house with kids in it!

What slobs do you have for friends????

    37. Children are likely to destroy or vandalize the home!

    This is getting repetitive.

    38. Constant judging by other parents that I simply don't need.

Tell thenm to bigger off... easy enough

    39. I simply don't want kids, never have.

Then don't, but it is not a reason for others not to.

    40. I would simply like to live a life of a higher standard.

That's all in how you define the standard.

  2. Well... look i agree with u about kids its a lot of responsibility and most of ur reasons are very valid but some are a bit cynical... kids can be bad, can pick up bad behavior, are expensive and can smell but having a child can be a very loving experience as well also some of these things depend on how u raise them. My view point is that having children can be a wonderful experience, they are very cute when they are little, BUT its a huge responsibility. I am scared that since im kind off not all there yet in the head i will s***w my kids over because u and ur mate will define everything about that kid, how to deal with issues, how they'll get involve with, who they hang out with, what things they will choose to do, etc... I can't have kids  cause im not responsible enough and i think i could s***w them up pretty bad, i am NOT a good role model so i should not be a parent. i can s***w my life up, marry an asshoole and live in poverty or whatever stupid thing i choose but i can't do that to a kid, i brought that kid here its my responsibility to give it my all. having a kid is just too much responsibility.
