Reasons why Miami Heat star LeBron James will be the MVP next season – NBA Feature Part 1
LeBron aka “King James” is the face of NBA. James is unarguably the most devastating and complete player of his era and his talent adds an extra flamboyance to the game.
The 6 ft 8 in small forward from Miami Heat has ability to penetrate through the strongest of defences because of his speed and athleticism. There is just no way to contain this scoring machine and his presence alone in the court
is enough to create panic in the opponent’s defense.
LeBron was a star before he even graced the NBA court. Mr. Basketball at his high school for three consecutive years, he was perceived as someone who would make it big in future.
LeBron started his NBA career in 2003 with the Cleveland Cavaliers and as expected, immediately made an impression by winning the Rookie of the year award averaging almost 21 points, 5.5 rebounds and 5.9 assists that season.
So far, he has won two most valuable player awards in 2009 and 2010 respectively. He was close to grabbing it for third consecutive time last season, but the emergence of Chicago Bulls point guard Derrick Rose stalled his surge.
He however redeemed himself in the eastern Conference Finals, when pitched against Rose, the ‘Chosen One’ pronounced the gulf that exists in his capabilities and those of the Bulls star.
In a team already filled with NBA giants like Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh, LeBron not only settled quickly but managed to be the leading scorer which was just mind boggling. James however choked in the NBA finals yet again and his
shaky performance meant that the Miami Heat, despite being the downright favourites, lost against the Dallas Mavericks.
When the upcoming season commences, there is absolutely no doubt LeBron will be hungrier for an NBA title, the only thing missing from his otherwise illustrious career, and this effectively means that he will be in the line for
the MVP award yet again.
His motivation level will be more than ever before after a heartbreaking finals loss last season. James would be looking to get the previous wrongs right and make sure that he not only he sees his team to a championship title but
in doing so also earns the MVP for the third time in four years.
LeBron has a great chance to achieve that feat and the reasons for that to happen are what we are going to discuss in this feature.
