Reasons why Miami Heat won’t trade LeBron James to Orlando Magic or any other NBA team: (Pt-1)
Just like every off-season, the trade rumours are circulating in the world of NBA. Some of them do make sense while some rumours seem far removed from reality. One of them is the vibe involving Miami Heat superstar LeBron James.
LeBron James is one of the most gifted basketball players that the basketball world has seen in the last decade. The small forward was tagged as the ‘Chosen One’ from the very time he made his appearance on the NBA stage all dressed
up in wine and gold.
Over the years, we have seen James’ transformation from a fan heartthrob to one of the most hated athletes on the basketball scene. In Miami Heat, after a hot and cold regular season, James found his groove in the post season and
one by one, he engineered the demolition of Eastern Conference rivals like Boston Celtics and Chicago Bulls. However, once in the NBA Finals against the Dallas Mavericks, he choked and the Heat succumbed to a 4-2 series defeat.
Ever since that heartbreak, there have been rumours that Miami might break up their star trio including James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh. These rumour were at their bloom in the weeks after the Finals, but died down once Pat Riley,
the shrewd president of basketball operations of Miami Heat, rubbished all such reports and indicated that the triple ripple of the Heat are here to stay at the South Beach.
However, even after that, the speculations have not died down and every now and then; there is a whisper about the dismantling of the Miami ‘Big Three’. James has been at the forefront of these reports and one destination that
is highly talked about for former Cleveland Cavaliers superstar is Orlando Magic.
The reason because James has been targeted is that he and Wade are Miami’s foremost threats on the offense and in the last season, we saw a plenty, how the two stars got confused about their roles, which resulted in a mess. With
Wade being the home town boy, James is deemed to be the one who will have to leave.
The second argument is that why will James go to Orlando. The answer is that only Orlando possesses a player in the shape of Dwight Howard, who comes anywhere near matching James’ potential on the court.
However, I still disagree with that notion.
There is no doubt that Howard is the best centre in NBA who brings incredible strength and insane athletic ability, however, LeBron James trade with Dwight or with any other player in the league seems highly improbable.
Here are some reasons why Miami Heat won’t enter the next season without James.
