Crumple zones built into the vehicle.

Advanced Braking systems such as ABS(anti-lock breaking systems.)

Supplemental restraint systems (SRS, airbags) and better seat-belts.

Non rigid bumpers.

Collapsible steering columns.

Shatterproof/tempered glass.

Fuel shut-off systems.

Traction Control.
