  1. And the "lap" when splicing for continious runs is 40 bar dia. regardless of the size, unless otherwise noted.


  2. #4 rebar is 1/2" in diameter. #3 rebar is 3/8", #5 is 5/8", #6 is 3/4", etc.

  4. # 4 rebar is 1/2 inch , If you want to make it easier for you to remember , each number ( # ) is equal to 1/8 ,  so # 2 would be 1/4 inch and # 3 would be 3/8 and so on .
