Reblis favourite for Weatherbys Cheltenham Festival Betting Guide Novices’ Chase

Gary Moore’s trainee, Reblis, has the best odds for winning the Weatherbys Cheltenham Festival Betting Guide Novices’ Chase at Exeter in England on Tuesday, March 6, 2012. A cash prize of £3,249 will be awarded to the race winner.
The class-four event, which will start at 4:00 GMT, has an overall distance of 3 miles and the going is expected to be good to soft.  A total of 10 runners are expected to take part in the race and their names are: Reblis, Rhum, Bounds And Leaps, Gotoyourplay,
Sandofthecolosseum, Taratata Sivola, Bold Perk, Natural Action, Will Scarlet and Nodebateaboutit.
Out of these runners, Nodebateaboutit’s availability is doubtful. However, no final word has come from his trainer, Tom George.
Reblis has a very good chance of winning the race today, as he has got plenty of experience in chase events. He has participated in 15 of them, winning only three. His strike rate is not much impressive, but he has the ability to fight for victories consistently.
The seven-year-old gelding has finished runner up on four occasions whereas he also has a couple of third place finishes to his name. In addition to that, his recent form has been exceptional and that will certainly encourage the punters to place maximum
number of bets on him.
Reblis’ last outing proved to be quite an impressive one, as he managed to win the race at Sandown. He made one mistake at the start, but made up for that towards the end and finished half a length ahead of the runner up, Court By Surprise.
The favourite runner will be partnered by Joshua Moore, who has earned 11 victories while chasing. He needs to improve his strike rate in order to make a name for himself.
On the other hand, Nigel Twiston-Davies’ trainee, Rhum will be chasing his maiden victory in such events. He has entered six of them until now, but has only managed a couple of runner up positions.
The seven-year-old gelding looks in good shape at the moment and has a solid chance of dominating the proceedings today. He will be ridden by Sam Twiston-Davies, who has won 64 chase races so far.
The remaining horses will need a lot of luck to win at Exeter today, as the top two favourites are likely to lead the way.
