Reboot Computer, I think got virues

I think my computer got virus, it says something it corrupt the files and insert CD Rom. What do I need to do?

Make sure you don't have a floppy in the drive. That's what it sounds like.

Take it out, and should be fixed.

Go get a diagnostics test.  You can find them for free via internet as well as getting a advanced one from the store, this will prevent future infections.  The diagnostics test will find out what is wrong and either tell you how to fix it, or repair on its own.  Try rebooting your computer.  You might also need to get an anti-virus, again this will help prevent future error.  

For future refrence: Try to avoid opening pages you don't know or going to harmful websites as well as forwarded email from strangers.  Fkae myspace pages are also a cause of harmful viruses.

Frequent problems: it could not be a virus at all, if it says error/CD Rom drive error/etc. it could be that you have something plugged in that your computer doesn't like, or a floppy disk in your harddrive, or even just a ipod plug in that your computer doesn't like when you turn it on.

Sounds like a virus, but whatever you do dont download anything that looks suspicious. Go to download.com and download AVG For Free, Spybot, and a firewall (I recommend ZoneAlarm). Run their scans and the virus will be removed. Or you can have someone have a look at it for you. Send me an IM on Yahoo Messenger and I'll assist you if need be.

Read your error msg carefully, and then hunt down the message on yahoo.

what file is corrupted? Any idea what cd-rom is needed?

It sounds like you have a corrupted program, and not a virus.

Also, how long has thing been going on? Have you installed anything recently with a cd?

insert your swindow installation disc. there should be an option to 'fix' the problem. however you are better off posting what is corrupt, and looking on google for a fix then asking on here

Seems like you have corrupted files i see this a lot,because people miss use computers.
