We have called the number +447031963967 with no answer and send an email as requested with no answer. We do not want to be scammed but at the same time would love to have the prize if this is a egitimate offer from Yahoo! as is holds itself out to be.

  1. There have been thousands of questions regarding winning or having money set aside for people from Yahoo & MSN and 1000s of other well known web sites.

    NONE of these are genuine, it is simply someone trying to get you to part with your money.

    ALWAYS REMEMBER you don't get anything for nothing in this world so why should Yahoo suddenly tell you that they have put money aside for you or tell you that you have won a lottery that you have not bought a ticket for.

    We are constantly being warned that we should not respond to these types of emails, but there is always someone who will and they are the ones who end up losing a fortune with nothing in return.

    Got to:

    For a list of 100s of lottery scams going round the internet and into email inboxes.

    Also, for other types of scams go to:

    or;

    Every day I get an email from Halifax Building Society, Barclays Bank, HSBC and many other financial institutions telling me I have to update my details on my account. Account No, sort code, passwords etc.

    The only thing is, although they appear really genuine, they are only trying to get you to give them the details of any account you may hold with a particular company, and the genuine Halifax, Barclays, etc will never ask you for personal details via email.

    The only reason these fraudsters want your details is so they can empty your account.

    The laughable thing about scams like this is that not one of the emails I have received asking me to confirm my details are from the bank etc I actually use. So how can I update details for an account I don't have?

  3. Bin it.

    Remember: If it sounds too good to be true, then it probably is.

  4. Have you entered any comps ? If not ignore  it is is a scam, it's happening a lot.

  5. Scam ..sorry.

    Be careful too, because I saw on TV once that the phone numbers you call are routed so that they charge YOU an insane fee. You get your phone bill and the call actually went to some Island like "Pango Pango" and it's $200 a minute.

  6. It's a Nigerian scam, I guarantee it!. Mark it as spam, and delete, you will be better off for it! Do not pass go, do not collect 1 million dollars! Sorry.  :(
