Recap second-day AVC Continental Beach Volleyball Cup, Chinese Taipei
The 3-day beach volleyball action of male and female duos had an amazing run in Chinese Taipei at the weekend. The event welcomed teams from Japan, Macau (CHN) and hosts Chinese Taipei. Teams from Chinese Taipei and Macau met on the opening day (Friday,
December 24, 2010). They contested their attack and defence capabilities in front of a bigger audience, while home teams stole the show with their incredible show of beach volleyball. Chinese Taipei clinched success in the all their matches of both genders,
which enabled them to get a ticket to the AVC Zonal Tournament.
Following the footsteps of winners, Japanese teams also paved their way to the next stage by defeating opponents from Macau. The losers of first-day, Macau exhibited another shaky performance and blew their chances to play in the next stage of Zonal Tournament.
Macau’s teams have been eliminated from the squad, while victorious Chinese Taipei and Japan will meet China and Hong Kong in the next leg of Zonal Tournament. China and Hong Kong qualified for the Zonal Tournament from Pool B.
Women’s competitions
