You could read Fushigi Yuugi:Genbu Kaiden or maybe Ayashi No Ceres from the same creator.

Im a big fan of Fushigi Yuugi

& Its been a bit hard to find one that can compare to it.

i tried finding yuu watase's works...mostly i ended up with her mangas

-absolute boyfriend (which are think are good)

i watched AYASHI NO CERES but i find that its too 'serious' for my taste. i prefer something that got humor mixed on it.

So after a couple of anime-searchings..i found a couple that i think are nice:

TSUBASA CHRONICLE - Sakura lost her memories-which manifested as wings-thats why she & Syaoran,together with Fae & Kurogane went on a search to find it. Encountering lots of adventures on the way.

CARDCAPTOR SAKURA - Sakura,an elementary student, became a cardcaptor to collect the cards that are wrecking havoc. this may not exactly have a solid romance, but the storyline & the little cute romance scene is pretty nice.

LOVELY COMPLEX - although this anime belong in the slice of life-genre, but their love story is really something to look forward to. If you would want t o take a break from all the fantasy animes, then i guess this one would be a nice pick. & its so funny!

MERMAID MELODY - though this is a bit far from FY but i think some cute romantic moments between the characters can make you smile. mermaid falling in love to a human (or so she thought)
