Recent Months have been Life Changing for Montreal Canadiens Max Pacioretty -NHL Special
Not many youngsters achieve what they want in life, but Max Paciortetty is one of those that have made significant gains and strides and life changing decisions over the past few months, after a season that nearly had ended his career in the National Hockey
League (NHL).
Pacioretty, one of the best and upcoming forwards for the Montreal Canadiens, is also lucky in the regard that he faced a season ending injury and nearly career fatal one so early into his career and recovered fully. He was smashed into the sideboard by
Boston Bruins captain, Zdeno Chara, during a matchup in the 2011 NHL Stanley Cup Finals and looked like he would never play a game again.
Destined to be the boy who would live to gain much more, Pacioretty went on to becoming an integral part of the Montreal Canadiens club, winning the NHL’s Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy along with having a breakthrough season with 65 points (33 goals, 32
assists) in 789 games played in 2011-2012 to bounce back in a glorious way.
Drafted as the 22nd overall back in round-one of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft by the Montreal Canadiens, the 23-year-old native of New Canaan, Cincinnati, United States, had another life changing experience this offseason as he signed on to a six-year,
$27 million contract. His new deal will be boosting his lifestyle up by manifolds from his previous one which gave him a mere $1.625 million per season, to now getting $4.5 million every year until it comes to an end after 2018-2019.
In a total of 202 games played up until now, Max Pacioretty boasts 114 points, of which 53 are goals and 61 assists.
Currently, the young forward is busy in keeping up with friends, what is going on in the NHL and watching minor league games. He had to come back from playing overseas due to a minor injury, but could be back on another team pretty soon.
There is no difficulty in seeing that Max Pacioretty is going to be one of the leading players in the NHL some day, if he already is not that is. The Montreal Canadiens are looking forward to using him to the maximum and reaching new heights with such talent,
while Pacioretty is definitely enjoying every moment of it.
