Recent problem with picture. Just recently my tv picture appears dull. The picture comes in fine

Just recently my tv picture appears dull. The picture comes in fine but seems like the colors are off, sort of an overall greyish tint to the picture. The first time I noticed this , I turned the TV off and later that day when I turned it on it was back to normal. However, a day later the same this has now happened again. I hope this does not mean the plasma gas? life is over...I t has not even been 2 years yet! I Would appreciate any suggestions or ideas.
