  1. Very few of us are actually doing what we went to school for. That being said, did you do any internships or conduct any projects in school that you could put on your resume?  Any financial experience whatsoever, put it on your resume.  Any type of finance associations in your undergrad experience, put them on your resume.  At this stage, don't be afraid to brag on yourself and achievements.

Most jobs are found through personal networks.  I'm on my fifth job out of college and I have only found open positions through people I know.  Ask around, meet people, talk to friends and find out if they are any openings in their organizations.  See if your friends can introduce you to finance people in their companies.  Network, network, network.

Since you are not currently employed (at least in what you want to be doing), make your job to find a job.  Devote 6-8 hours per day to finding the right opportunity.  If you do this combined with personal networking, I guarantee that you will find something in the near future.

As a side note, my friends that went down the finance path have gone the MBA route.  Have you considered going back to school?  A finance MBA would definitely open some doors and create more dialog with potential employers.

  2. Call a Temp-to-Perm agency, such as Robert Half, Inc. They have an Accounting and Finance department. I am sure that they can find you a Finance job at no cost to you. You need some experience and a job, this is the easiest way to get it. It worked for me.
