Recently I went for bilirubin test ?

Recently I went for bilirubin test and my total bilirubin count is 2.1 mg/dl and direct is 0.4 mg/dl.Indirect count is 0.7 mg/dl.Is this a normal bilirubin level?I dont have any swelling or loss of appetite.can anyone tell me the reason for the elevated bilirubin count and also the right time to have bilirubin test-like after fasting or after having food?
