clay's    on clay road between hwy 6 and barker cypress.  this place has been here since i was a kid... great burgers

frank's grill.....on hwy 6 at clay road......only open for breakfast and lunch.......GREAT breakfast!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As much as I enjoy Sam's Deli Diner, it is 10 miles from Katy. Try Fuzzy's on Mason Road (pizza). There are a ton of restaurants on Mason Road (south side of I-10).

There's a new place, way on the south side of Katy (Westheimer area) called Azzarelli's. I would recommend it on name alone because the first Azzarelli's is a block from my place in Memorial and it is phenomenal!! It isn't cheap, but it is cozy. I'd actually hope the Katy outlet was larger.

Flor de Cuba - best Cuban food in town.  Charming little place on Clay Road at Highway 6.

I suggest you try Hasta la Pasta on Grand Parkway. It's between Kingsland and Highland Knolls, next to Kroger. If you don't mind a little drive, try the Lasagna House on Eldridge and Westheimer.

For Mexican food I like Victor's on Fry Road, just north of I-10 next to Kroger.
