I am wondering a few things. First of all, my current stats: 23 yrs old, 5'1, 116-118 lbs (fluxuates with water weight), run 3-6 miles daily and have done so consistently for the past 2 years, healthy eater- I don't touch sweets or fast foods or bread. Ok now here's my question- back in 2006 I went from 120 lbs- 96 lbs by reducing calories and eating every few hrs and by switching from being sedentary to a runner. This happened from September 2006- Febuary 2007, so the weight loss was gradual. I maintained 96 lbs from Feb 2007-July 2007, then I graduated college and my life changed so I started eating more and got pretty stressed, my weight went up to 108. It went up from 108-112 thru last winter, and by the end of Jan this year I decided to starve myself to lose the weight- in 3 months I went from 112 to 97. I stayed 97 for about 2-3 months, then in June this yr I put on 5 lbs by binging on cereal. Then in July....I went from 103 to what I am now-116-118. I put this weight on in a month! I did this by binging on jars of peanut butter- ended up averaging 2500-3000 cals per day in the month of July. (My normal intake is 1100-1200 per day). I finally got it under control a few weeks ago and started to maintain and not gain more. My question is- what am i supposed to be at? My weight stabilizes at 97....it also stabilizes at 108....or 112....and now 116.....I eat 1100-1200 cals at all these weights and I stay that way unless I starve or bingr! SO what weight am I "healthiest" at? I

  1. Why dont you put yourself on the correct diet and exercise properly. Unfortunately Cardio only makes you store fat, as doing the same exercise over and over just makes your body go into survival mode.

  2. A lot depends upon your build and body type, but the best indicator of appropriate or inappropriate weight is BMI. Here’s a great site for calculating BMI, suggesting your goal weight, and what people think is ideal weight… http://www.halls.md/ideal-weight/body.ht...

    These are the general guidelines:

    Underweight = <18.5

    Normal weight = 18.5-24.9

    Overweight = 25-29.9

    Obesity = BMI of 30 or greater

    You clearly know already about diet and exercise, so we won't lecture you on that... but look in the mirror - if you're comfortable with the look, and feel fit, maintain that weight.

  3. I would suggest a cleansing diet. I lost 12 pounds in 9 days and then 28 pounds in less than a month. I also lost a lot of inches too! I learned that cleansing will help the body get rid of toxins. Toxins come from a lot of things like fast food, pollution, food additives and preservatives and lots of other things. The toxins get stored in the fat in our body. To get rid of the fat, we have to get rid of the toxins by cleansing the body. This made sense to me and I decided to try a cleanse program and it worked. The weight came off fast and this kept me motivated to keep going, not like other diets where the weight loss it too slow. I did Jenny Craig, Weight Watcher and Medifast. If you want to learn more call the toll free number 1-877-587-4647 or check out the website. This was the first time I ever did a cleanse, it was easy and I feel better. Good luck whatever you decide to do! http://diet4cleansing.tripod.com

  4. you are not overweight at all...i think you are smoking hott...

  5. 108 to 112 is probably better for you then 96lbs. and cut the starving and bing thing..that can be seen as an eating disorder.
