Well usually before it restarts I get an error from firefox.exe saying it needs to close, I have also noticed that sometimes it restarts when I scan for a virus.

I dont think its an overheating problem, but I dont know what virus is causing it or how to get rid of it.

I have been looking for viruses that cause this but all I found is one named sasser and I download a removal tool from symantec and it said I didnt have the sasser virus.

So I dont what to do know, its really a pain because sometimes Im doing important stuff, so if you could please help.

***By the way I have AVG Free Anti Virus, Spyware Doctor, and Ad-aware and they have not found anything***

  1. You can try Norton Anti or you can go to this online scanning site that tells you of all viruses and infections on your computer, the thing is it doesnt remove them it tells you what file the virus is from. After it scans your computer it and it tells you where to delete the virus you have to either print or write down the virus destination because you'll have to start your computer in safe mode and delete the virus files NOTE: MAKE SURE YOU EMPTY YOUR RECYCLE BIN AFTER YOU"VE DELETED THESE ITEMS OR ELSE IT WILL STILL HARM YOU CPU!! You can either emtpy the recycle bin the regular way or you can use this thing called CCleaner which removes all files forever. After you delete the files you restart your computer and log in regularly and everything should be fine. NOTE: This scanning does take some time im not sure if your cpu will resart while it is running the scan

  2. Usually, auto restarting is caused by hardware problems. Please check your power supply. It may be the problem or your fan of your CPU.
