Question:

Reception lighting?

I am planning to do the lighting for my reception myself.

I am using candles in holders the colors of my scheme and paper lanterns. I am also using these little individual light that can be placed into centerpieces and wherever to add colored light of amber, purple and rose. I need a way to push a wash of color on the walls floor and if possible the ceiling. I would like to learn how to use gobos (like a light stencil) to place our initials on the dance floor. I know professionals can do this more easily but I have a crafty mind and am on a budget so if anyone here has experience please do share! Thank You.

  2. Before you complete your task ask a professional what paper to use for the stencil otherwise your reception could end up a firetrap.

It may be that they etch the initials onto the globe but again I would ask the professional.

You want your day to be perfect and you dont want to be worrying

    best wishes
