  1. They are supposed to get a bit hot, and they can take up to 10 hours to charge.

  2. STOP USING THEM!!

If the batteries become that hot to the touch, there are 2 possibilities. Either the batteries are bad, and you should stop using them, or you are using a charger that supplies too much power to the batteries. If the charger you are using is the one the batteries came with, then the batteries are bad.

When batteries overcharge they can literally explode. It won't blow your house up, but it sprays battery acid all over, which can damage your possessions, as well as cause physical harm if it gets on you.

If the batteries and charger are separate, they probably aren't compatible. The charger is putting out more voltage than the batteries can take. The excess voltage is bled off as heat, which can also make the batteries explode.

Check the output of the charger and verify that it is correct for the batteries. If you have overheated them several times, it's likely that the batteries are damaged, I'd recommend replacing them, just to be safe.
