I'm looking for a recipe for moist and chewy chocolate chip cookies, something that you have tried before.

Thank you :)

  1. Also try and look for the Vegan Chocolate Chip cookie! Yummy! But this recipe is super sweet too.

  2. These are my favorites:

Trisha Yearwood’s Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies

2/3 cup butter (10 2/3 tablespoons), room temperature

    3/4 cup granulated sugar

1/4 cup dark brown sugar, packed

    1 large egg, room temperature

    1 teaspoon vanilla extract

    1 3/4 cups sifted all-purpose flour

    ½ teaspoon baking soda

    ½ teaspoon salt

1 cup (6-ounce package) semisweet chocolate chips

Place the oven rack in the center of the oven and preheat the oven to 375°F.

Using the electric mixer, beat the butter, sugars, egg, and vanilla together until smooth.

Sift the flour, baking soda, and salt together and, with the beater running, slowly add to the butter mixture. Stir in the chocolate chips.

Drop the batter by teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, or until lightly browned. Carefully remove the cookies to a wire rack to cool. Store in an airtight container.

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

    4 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

    2 teaspoons baking soda

    2 cups butter, softened

1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar

    1/2 cup white sugar

2 (3.4 ounce) packages instant vanilla pudding mix

    4 eggs

    2 teaspoons vanilla extract

    4 cups semisweet chocolate chips

    2 cups chopped walnuts (optional)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Sift together the flour and baking soda, set aside.

In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and white sugar. Beat in the instant pudding mix until blended. Stir in the eggs and vanilla. Blend in the flour mixture. Finally, stir in the chocolate chips and nuts. Drop cookies by rounded spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.

Bake for 10 to 12 minutes in the preheated oven. Edges should be golden brown.

    Yield: 72 servings

I've been making that recipe for 7 years and every time I do my husband loves me just a little bit more, and so do all of his co-workers! They (13 guys) go through a double batch in one shift. hehe

Just be sure to use margarine as it helps with the soft and chewyness and do not overcook. I cook them on a cookie sheet lined with parchment and as soon as they come out, instead of leaving them on the pan for 2 minutes, I slide the parchment off with the cookies so they stop cooking. They are to DIE for (eat too many, and you will). I use good quality chocolate chips too. Don't skimp, they deserve the best ingredients.
