I need a good recipe for spaghetti and meatballs! How do you normally make it? Do you make your own meatballs? But mainly I just need a recipe.

  1. MEATBALLS  -

    1 pound hamburger meat

    3/4 cup ITALIAN breadcrumbs

    1 egg

    Mix all and form into balls and saute in skillet til done. OR bake in 350* oven and cook for about 30 minutes.

    COOK SPAGHETTI - as package tells you to.

    ADD A JAR of pasta sauce.

    Sunday Spagghetti and Meatballs:

    Meatballs

    4 pounds ground beef, or equal parts ground beef, veal and pork

    1 cup bread crumb

    2 cups of Pecorino Romano cheese

    2 bunches Italian parsley, stemmed and chopped coarsely

    4 teaspoons Kosher salt

    2 teaspoon black pepper

    4 large eggs, beaten

    Spaghetti Sauce:

    2 28-ounce can peeled tomatoes

    4 tablespoons olive oil

    2 whole bulb garlic (or more or less to taste), peeled and finely minced

    2 bunches fresh basil

    2 tablespoons sugar

    kosher salt and pepper

    Directions

    Combine meatball ingredients. In a skillet placed on stovetop set to medium-high heat, sear meatballs on all sides.

    Combine all sauce ingredients and mix thoroughly. Add meatballs to  slow cooker and cover with sauce. Cover and cook on Low for 4-6 hours or on High for 2-4 hours.

    Adjust seasonings and serve with cooked pasta.

    SPAGHETTI AND MEATBALLS

    Meatballs (recipe below)

    1/4 c. vegetable oil

    1/2 c. chopped onion

    1 clove garlic, minced

    3 1/2 c. (28 oz. can) tomato puree

    1 c. water

    2/3 c. (6 oz. can) tomato paste

    1 tsp. salt

    1/2 tsp. oregano

    1/2 tsp. basil

    1/8 tsp. pepper

    1 pkg. (16 oz.) spaghetti

    Prepare meatballs; brown in oil in large skillet. Pour off excess fat. Add onion and garlic; saute 2 to 3 minutes. Add tomato puree, water, tomato paste, salt, oregano, basil and pepper; simmer 15-20 minutes.

    Cook spaghetti according to package directions; drain. Serve with sauce and meatballs.

    MEATBALLS:

    Combine:

    1 1/2 lbs. ground beef

    1/3 c. flavored bread crumbs

    1/3 c. grated Parmesan cheese

    2 eggs

    1 tbsp. chopped parsley

    1 1/2 tsp. garlic salt

    1/4 tsp. pepper

    Shape into balls.
