Recipe for soft chocolate chip cookies?

I don't have any oatmeal or instant pudding mix..

  1. 1 c. butter

    1 c. sugar

    1 c. brown sugar

    2 eggs

    2 1/2 c. oatmeal (powdered in blender)

    1/2 tsp. salt

    1 tsp. baking powder

    1 tsp. baking soda

    1 tsp. vanilla

    2 c. flour

    1 pkg. chocolate chips (semi-sweet)

    1 1/2 c. nuts (optional)

    Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Cream butter and sugars. Blend in eggs; add oatmeal. Mix dry ingredients. Mix will be very stiff. Mix in chips and nuts. Put 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 9 minutes - no more!

    DIRECTIONS

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Sift together the flour and baking soda, set aside.

    In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and white sugar. Beat in the instant pudding mix until blended. Stir in the eggs and vanilla. Blend in the flour mixture. Finally, stir in the chocolate chips and nuts. Drop cookies by rounded spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.

    Bake for 10 to 12 minutes in the preheated oven. Edges should be golden brown

  4. well if you're looking for soft as in cake-like..then you just need to add a little bit more flour to the regular nestle tollhouse recipe.
