So does anyone have a recipe for the terryaki sauce that is thick and put over rice (not the thin stuff that comes from a bottle)?

  1. 2 parts shoyu to 1 part brown sugar (or honey)

    smashed garlic cloves

smashed fresh ginger (we never bother to peel either the garlic or the ginger)

    dash of sesame oil

    chopped green onions

Boil til the sugar is dissolved. Add more sugar or shoyu until you get the desired sweetness.

  2. Don't have a recipe but I do have a recommendation. Try Yoshida's Gourmet Sauce which is available at Costco and Sam's Wholesale stores. It is a thick teriyaki sauce that is great on rice, meats and vegetables. You can also go to www.yoshidagroup.com to read about it.
