  1. Fudge Frosting

    2 cups sugar

    1/2 cup shortening

    3 oz unsweetened baking chocolate

    2/3 cup milk

    1/2 teaspoon salt

    2 teaspoons vanilla

    In 2 1/2-quart saucepan, mix all frosting ingredients except vanilla. Heat to rolling boil, stirring occasionally. Boil 1 minute without stirring. Place saucepan in bowl of ice and water. Beat until frosting is smooth and spreadable; stir in vanilla.

    It is AWESOME!!!!

  2. Creamy Chocolate Frosting

    2 3/4 cups confectioners' sugar

    6 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder

    6 tablespoons butter

    5 tablespoons evaporated milk

    1 teaspoon vanilla extract

    In a medium bowl, sift together the confectioners' sugar and cocoa, and set aside.

    In a large bowl, cream butter until smooth, then gradually beat in sugar mixture alternately with evaporated milk. Blend in vanilla. Beat until light and fluffy. If necessary, adjust consistency with more milk or sugar.

    4T Shortening, at room temperature

    1 lb Powdered Sugar

    1/2 cup Dutch processed cocoa powder

    Whip butter and shortening, add sugar and cocoa. Add a little milk if the frosting is too thick.

    • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened

    • 4 tablespoons milk

    • 4 cups confectioners' sugar

    • 1/4 cup butter, softened

    • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

    • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

    • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

    DIRECTIONS

    In a bowl, beat together the cream cheese, 3 tablespoons milk, confectioner's sugar, butter, vanilla, cocoa, and cinnamon to a spreadable consistency. Beat in additional milk if necessary. For a darker frosting add more cocoa or up to 4 ounces melted chocolate. Spread onto cooled cake.
