It's the fakin' bacon kind. I've never used tempeh before, so how can I make it delicious?

  1. There's a vegan cookbook called Vegan With a Vengeance and it's the greatest. There's a really good recipe in it for tempeh bacon. I'm sure you could find it at a library. The author's website has free recipes for other things as well.

    Eat hearty!

  3. You can take a tablespoon of grape-seed or olive oil  and heat it to saute temperature, add some scallions or sliced pearl onions,  some long french green beans , cherry sized tomatoes, zucchini slices, and 1/2 tsp of cooking wine ( vermouth) . Just saute them all together along with your fakin-bacon.   It makes a good meal.

  4. I would fry it in a frying pan and make a vegan BLT. Just salt it a bit, put it on a bun with lettuce and tomato, and you're good to go. I like BBQ sauce on the fakin' bacon stuff too.

I think it's made for frying, but you can try to pan-bake it, just lightly oil a pan and bake it at 400 F (maybe even higher) until it gets nice and crunchy.
