  1. You will do just fine. Look for people that has it and you will feel encouraged. I wish you well:

  2. There are a lot of good recipes but if you do any cooking you already know how to cook them. The main thing you have to watch is the sugars and the carbs. So if you eat chicken, fish, pork, beef, grill, broil, bake you will be ok on the meat. All vegetables are ok, your peas, carrots, beets have the most natural sugars so i limit how much I eat. Fruit are all natural sugars, I limit myself from watermelon, all melons, full of sugar. Your berry's are the best. I eat egg betters, and i use splenda for my sugar, For baking I use splenda brown sugar.

so for example of my day of eating is like this:

Breakfast An egg or a bowl of weight watchers oatmeal.

                   Turkey bacon

                    1/2 grapefruit

Mid morning some kind of vegetables about one cup

Lunch  A whole tomato cut in the middle and I put some tuna with a

little mayo mixed in the tuna

               some more vegetables

Diet pop or some ice tea

Dinner  Small steak, fish,I use my grill alot

Brown instant Rice I add diced green peppers,

                diced onions, diced mushrooms.

Or a small baked or mashed potato, or a sweet

                 potato.

                 Some kind of vegetable

                 A glass of milk 1%

Bed time 2 or 3 sugar free cookies or something very low in sugar.

make sure you drink lots of water.

If you ever need some help just look me up and I will help you in any way I can.

Dont forgetto check your blood as often as your Dr. want you to. Expect your finger to be sore for a while. Good luck I hope i was some help

  3. One of the easiest things to do is switch your way of eating... the approach is called "food combining" which basically means you can put fats with veggies and meats, but no fats with carbs. Or you can put veggies and carbs together but no fats with that.

Check out the Suzanne Somers' "Somersize" books... lots of great recipes, and you can probably find them in a used book store or on Amazon.com
