  2. Slow cookers are one of my favorite tools for having dinner ready when I am really pressed for time in the evening. At kraftfoods.com, we have an area dedicated to simple but delicious slow cooker recipes that make planning dinner easier. Recipes include BBQ Pork, Swiss Steak, Chicken Cacciatore, BBQ Short Ribs, Chicken Curry and more.

Visit the site  at:http://www.kraftfoods.com/kf/Dinner/Plan... the bottom of the page, you'll find some important slow cooker cooking tips to help make sure your recipes are a success.

A couple of my favorites are:

Slow-Cooker Tex-Mex Chicken:  Salsa and taco seasoning mix combine to give a great flavor to this recipe that my kids love.  http://www.kraftfoods.com/kf/recipes/slo...

Slow Cooker Sweet & Sour Pork:  You cook the pork, then add rice for the last 20 min. right before serving so that your meal is complete.  How easy is that?  http://www.kraftfoods.com/kf/recipes/slo...

A great thing about slow cooker recipes is that the long, moist cooking method is ideal for inexpensive cuts of meat, since it provides plenty of time for tenderizing. A definite plus when it seems like meat prices are rising daily!

  3. I use the  crockpot to make a beef roast, first I put sliced garlic in the roast, the roast can be any kind you prefer, than I add peeled potatoes and carrots and quartered onions. leave the potatoes whole and cut the carrots in half, now put the potatoes, carrots and onion on the bottom of the crockpot than add the roast  on the top, now I also add salt and pepper to all of it you can sprinkle the roast with garlic powder or put ground horseraddish on the top of the roast, now put the crockpot on high for 4hrs. or slow for 6 to 8hrs.  I prefer the horseraddish to just plain, but I also sometimes put worsteshire sauce on the meat to cook, what ever soots you is good. there is no commandment that you have to do this or that. thats is what is cooking is about. blending different flavors to your likeing.  good luck April

  4. This is SO good - I was a bit skeptical when I read it but my family loves this recipe. BTW-I usually just use chicken b*****s if you don't want to deal with broilers.

    1/2 cup chopped green onion

    1/2 cup soy sauce

    1/4 cup dry white wine

    1/2 cup water

    1/2 cup honey

    ground black pepper to taste

    DIRECTIONS

Place chicken quarters into a slow cooker. Stir together the green onion, soy sauce, white wine, water, honey and pepper in a cup or small bowl. Pour over the chicken. Cover, and cook on high for 4 hours
