  1. Do you need the metric measure for tsp (teaspoon) and tbsp (tablespoon)? 1 teaspoon=5 mL, 1 tablespoon=15mL.

  2. This recipe also works with black beans but I much prefer garbanzo beans (chickpeas).

2 tbsp. canola or vegetable oil (dont use olive)

    1 tbsp. flour

    1 can chickpeas

1 tsp parsley (dried or fresh)

    1 tsp. chili powder

    1 tsp. paprika

    1 clove garlic, chopped

    1 small onion, chopped

    1. Drain and rinse chickpeas, then mash.

    2. Season with some of the paprika/chilipowder/parsley

    3. Set aside chickpeas, heat one tbsp. oil in a skillet and add in the garlic/onion.

    4. Cook until brown then reduce the heat and add 1 tbsp of flour and season with the rest of the

    paprika/chilipowder/parsley.

    5. Add this mixture into the beans and mash some more.

    6. Form mixture into patties and fry in the remaining tbsp. of oil. Cook each side until brown.

**this makes like 3 burgers but I make them really big so they might make you up to 5.

In my experience, this burger goes great with some soy cheese, mustard, lettuce, and a wheat bun.

    edit: tbsp=tablespoon  and tsp=teaspoon

  3. Table spoons and Tea Spoons.

    Sorry, I have no recipes.

  4. 3 tbsp olive oil

    1/2 cup corn kernels

    7 mushrooms, diced

    3 scallions (green onions) diced

    1/2 red bell pepper, diced

    2 cloves garlic, minced

    1 tsp cumin

    1 carrot, grated

    1 small potato, grated

    1/4 cup silken (soft) tofu

    salt and pepper to taste

    1/2 cup bread crumbs

Mix in food processor or blender, process tofu until creamy and set aside.

Sautee the corn, mushrooms, scallions and bell pepper in one tablespoon of oil for 3 to 5 minutes. Add the garlic and cumin and cook for one more minute.

Remove from heat and add the carrot, potato, tofu, salt and pepper. Add bread crumbs until the mixture holds together. You may need a little bit more or less than a half a cup.

Make into patties a put in fridge for an hour.

Heat remaining two tablespoons of olive oil and cook each patty until the veggie burgers are done, about 3 minutes on each side.

    Enjoy!!!!
