Recipes???

My husband is from San Salvador, El Salvador. I want to cook foods that are native. Where can I find recopies from El Salvador including substitutes for any food that cannot be purchased here in the states (without having to go to a specialty shop)

These sites should provide you with enough recipes to keep your husband happy!  Foods can readily be substituted, and are available at most latino markets.  If you don't have any nearby, you might consider finding these items online.

Keep in mind that although you may be able to substitute items, it will change the flavor of the dish...
