so i want to reclass, i have a 120 gt score now (thanks fast class)with no criminal history and a clearance, i want to do CID, but one of the requirements is to have 6 months of experience as an MP, i have heard that you can actually do a "internship" with the MP's for 6 months, can anyone confirm or deny this info?

  1. Yes that is true...Do you have a degree ??  AA ?  If you talk to them they will give you the information...because you really don't re-class to CID...You have to apply...But your unit has to agree to release you for that time...

  2. ---Break Break Break--

    Go to the CID website:

    http://www.cid.army.mil/join_CID.html

    BLUF:

There is no longer a 6 month MP/Intern requirement.  The Army couldn't support the 6 month release with the current op tempo so currently it is solely by application.  The specifics are at the site above and it is updated regularly to reflect changes.  Here are the basic requirements:

2 years of service (no more than 10--waiverable)

60 college credits (30 with waiver)

    110 ST

Below the Rank of E6--not even E5(P)--NONWAIVERABLE

Check out the site and visit your local CID office.
