i am shopping for a sectional, but my husband prefers to get something that reclines, and as for me i really don't care as long as it looks good and is good quality.

what will last longer a reclining set or a regular set??

and this will be used as our everyday sitting set

  1. Get the recliner. You will soon find out why your Hubby wants it. You don't "have" to recline, but having the option is nice.

  2. Since it has moving parts, a non-reclining sectional will theoretically last longer. Although, with a good quality set, either one will last long enough to where you'll probably replace them before the reclining part wears out.

A couple years ago, my wife and I got power reclining leather theater seats for our living room. They are incredibly comfortable, because you can set them anywhere you want - from straight up, to fully reclined, and anywhere in between. I never thought I would like reclining seats so much. But, I regularly fall alseep in front of the TV all night in these. They're also great for having a couple of cold ones and watching a football game.

  3. reclining sectionals are nicer, i wish i would have gotten one instead of a non reclinging, because it is nice to have to put your feet up on when you are tired!
