  1. Ask your neighbours.

  2. Dr Jim Bridge in Warrawong, he is extremely popular and a wonderful doctor.I don't know if he is taking new patients but he is well worth the wait

i miss going to him, only doc i trust

  3. There are very few Doctors in this area and even less are good Doctors, its all Medical Centres and they don't give a sh*t about you.

If you want a good GP you're going to have to pay an excess of the bulk bill cost.

I suggest you try the Doctors office on Market Street in with Dr Turner, there are a few good Dr's in there, ask reception, they don't all charge extra but Turner does (and his books are probably closed). If Doctor Danish is still around, she might be worth a try or Doctor Smilie. The number is 4229 4533.

    Good luck.

EDIT - Thats BS. Dr Smilie for example is a top doctor, shes won awards and all sorts, always on the news. Those doctors have a good reputation, they've been around for ages, Dr Turner was practicing when my parents were kids. Theres at least 4 different doctors in there, so I'm sure one could help you.

Don't trust Chan, I grew up in Balgownie, he has a horrible reputation. Dr Girgis was excellent till with 1 weeks notice he shut shop and moved to Campbelltown.

Never heard of the others and personally I wouldnt trust a doctor in Warrawong or want to risk entering the practice.

Dr Moffat at Windang is an excellent doctor but as with all good doctors, his books are closed. Thats going to be your biggest problem.

Why don't you ring the Illawarra Division of General Practice and ask if they can suggest someone.

  4. If you are willing to travel up to Balgownie, Dr Chan, I think his name is, on Balgownie Road, is apparently quite good.  I would stear clear of Doctor Turner's office (as mentioned by another person) - one of their doctors misdiagnosed a relatives cancer and also misdiagnosed a benign tumour that I personally had.
