Recommend a NON plug and play joystick?

Some software will not work with plug and play, does anyone know a cheap one to use?

  1. I'd be surprised if you can even find a joystick that isn't plug-and-play these days. They're all USB, which is obvisously P&P. I guess you could have a look on auction sites or second-hand stores for one that plugs into the gameport on your soundcard... I dont think they were P&P.

    What exactly is it that doesn't support P&P but requires a joystick anyway?
