  1. easy reads with tons of references online:

Canterbury Tales -the story is actually about people telling stories to each other so it's easy to stop and come back to the book

    The Scarlett Letter (there's a movie) -

The Color Purple (there's a movie and a play based on this)

    The Tempest

    Waiting for Godot

    Gulliver's Travels

A Streetcar Named Desire (there's also a movie and a play)

  2. you have several great titles to choose from such as The Great Gatsby,  Great Expectations, Lord of the Flies, The Scarlet Letter , A Tale of Two Cities. I hope that these help you out and you pass.

  3. I think the following are easy enough to read.  They're not incredibly long, not incredibly complex vocabulary, and definitely worth your while:

    Our Town (Thornton Wilder)

Of Mice and Men (John Steinbeck)

Adventures of Huckleberry Finn (Mark Twain)

    Great Gatsby (F. Scott Fitzgerald)

The Great Gatsby is still one of my favorite reads.
