Recommend any good hotels in Central Rome?

I am going to Rome for 3 days at the start of October/ Can anyone suggest a good hotel in the Historical Centre that won't cost me more than 70 pounds / 100 Euros a night please?

Try the hotel Dina its only a 100 yds from the Termini and quite cheap in October. All the main tourist sites are only 10 minutes away on the Metro. Their website is www.hoteldina.it. There is an English version on the site. If you go there give Sergio my regards, tell him Andrew sent you.

Its not the Hilton but its comfy and the staff are easy to get on with.

You'll be lucky, Rome is a dump. Sure the architecture is amazing but the streets are full of rubbish and scumbags.

I'll suggest you Eurostars International Palace hotel - via Nazionale no.46. It's a very central one, very safe, close to the main beauties of the city, cheap enough ....and with a gorgeous breakfast. Enjoy your trip !

Its in walking distance of the train/bus station and a good location for sight seeing. stayed there a couple of years ago, at the time was ok and good value. Not sure what its like now, but may be worth checking out.

More recently i stayed at the Beehive Hostel.

70 Euros for a double room.

This was really good, again near the train station. They have the main hostel and also rent out an apartment not far away.
