we stayed at the hotel colombus - it wasn't TOO bad - just ask for a renovated room!!  anything along the Via Della Conciliazione would be wonderful. if you can get into room 418 -- it was a HOOT!  the bathroom was just hysterical!!!    we were a 3 minute walk from St Peters.

please be advised if you've not traveled out of the country their 3-4 diamonds are nothing like ours!
