Recommend me a good CPU/Motherboard Combo?

I realize that I probably will not run into as many gurus on Yahoo Answers as I will, say, Toms Hardware or Neowin, but I'm looking to get many perspectives to find the best fit. I am looking to upgrade my computer somewhat before I head off to college in a little over a year. I would like to keep the budget for the combo around 250 dollars, however that budget is not set in stone. I do not require SLI and do not have preference in CPU producer (AMD or Intel) nor do I require SLI. The motherboard should be relatively stable, decent at overclocking (albeit I probably will not find something great given the budget), and the chipset does not matter very much either.

  1. I would get a Biostar Motherboard like this one

    Get this CPU here

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...

These are part of my Newegg Wish list I have a whole new system list put together for $550 including shipping.

Remember with a new motherboard you may need new memory sticks to match it, DDR to DDR2 this is my situation when I Upgrade.

This board uses SATA for the Hard Drive, make sure your existing Hard Drive is SATA also, this board has only one EIDE slot for optical devices.
