  1. Moi j aime bien les sushis

  2. The Pie and Mash shop sadly closed in late 2006. Try Noodle Time, just off the high road, if you like Chinese/Thai.

  3. Don't know if Laura's place is still open, on the high street out of town down towards sainsburys.

It was brill when we were there, daily changing menu, one lady in the kitchen fresh ingredients friendly banter, sadly I don't know if it's still there?

  4. the pie and mash shop by the market. the best in london.

  5. The pie and mash shop 'sold out' to Burger King just after Christmas.  Just down the road in East Greenwich, next to the old Greenwich Hospital is Wing Wah Chinese buffet and you can eat as much as you like for about £8 per adult.  The pizza express and the Mexican is very good too. They are both opposite the Church in Greenwich town ctre. Enjoy whatever you choose.

  6. Quite a few to name all and depends on the food you're looking for but Cafe Sol is one of the best Mexicans I've been to in this country.

It gets quite lively on a weekend with the bar being full and buzzing as you wait for your table (they dont accept bookings so just turn up and sample the very adequate cocktail menu).

The ground beef tacos are recommended :)

And as mentioned above stay away from Beachcomber, it may look like a nice seafood restaurant but its awful. I'm always surprised its always so full. Must just be unsuspecting tourists.

Probably the only place not to have suffered from a really bad review in the Evening Standard!

The pie and mash shop as mentioned above is sadly no more and has become (or soon to become - not been there for a few months - a gourmet burger bar)

If you like indian food The Taste of India is pretty good also

  7. For cheap and cheerful, try tai won mein noodle bar.

If you want to be a bit more extravagant SE10 Bar do excellent food in a nice relaxing environment (they even have board games to play afterwards, ha ha!) The new(ish) Tapas bar is excellent too - yum!! There is a nice organic cafe, but it would be more suitable for lunch than dinner I'd say.

I wouldn't recommend beachcomber - it's always packed - but the food isn't all that - in my opinion :)

Oooh, and while you're there - check out 'shake it' the milkshae shop with 101 different flavours - VERY good!
