Recommendation for Carlota Ciganda to get the LET Double honour
Carlota Ciganda might be on her way to capture the Order of Merit as a rookie. However, the European Ladies Tour’s favourite has not lacked in advice at all and is all set to achieve the memorable feat.
If words of intelligence be called for, Uncle Jose Angel Ziganda is surely the man for the talk. He is reported to be a former football player, who claimed many honours with the Spanish side Athletic Bilbao.
Hence, he knows about the fine competitive nature of sportsmanship at the highest level inside out.
It will come out as a huge surprise and a matter of little excuse for Carlota Ciganda, if she does not emerge successful in being crowned the European number one. The ceremony is to be held at Emirates Golf Club, on Saturday night.
Ciganda is looking all set to capture the accolade and is well poised for the shot. She currently leads second placed Caroline Masson.
It is widely reported and believed that the Spaniard just needs to make the difference in Dubai, in order to literally confirm her dominance for the coveted award.
On the other hand, Masson would secretly be wishing that Ciganda fails to hang around for the weekend.
The stated outcome see the Gladbeck-born challenger have a say on the outcome of the award, provided she also succeeds in striking a top three finish in the season’s finale.
It is well believed that Masson should not be expecting the Spaniard to give her a chance as Carlota has recently shown no signs of tiredness and fatigue.
"So I'm just trying to enjoy the good moments and make the most of everything.”
"It's certainly an advantage being first on the money list, but I don't like to think too much about it. I just think about playing golf and, if you give 100 per cent when you're on the course, the result is going to be good. And if you play good, you're
going to be at the top."
Ciganda had a remarkable campaign this year, as she managed to pull off two victories and nine top-ten finishes. Many have regarded it as a tremendous feat.
