Recommendation for Mexican car insurance (going to Ensenada).?

We are traveling to Ensenada this weekend and I want to purchase insurance online before we go. Does someone have a carrier they recommend?

You can call "Lewis and Lewis" and get Mexican policies on the phone.

There are several on both sides of the border that will sell you "Days" coverage . Its cheap buy full coverage.

Sanborns and Johnson and Johnson are a couple more.

You CAN NOT rent a car and take it in to Mexico.

You must be the registered owner.

No insurance co. will sell you a policy and when you rent you sign a promissary note that you will NOT take it into Mexico.

If you do slide by and get in to an accident your buttt is going to jail and the rental co. will be coming after you for their loss.
