  1. Italian food is very strong all over NYC.

If you like a place with great service and food, my favorite at the moment is Da Andrea at 557 Hudson street. (West Village).

    Just ate there last weekend.

  2. Oh - wow  - are you in for a treat!   ERMINIA  at 250 E.83rd St. (Between 2nd and 3rd Ave)

    Phone: 212-879-4284

My wife and I ate here twice.  They have only about 10 tables. The place is completely lit by candle light and it is a dark, wood paneled place that just oozes romance.   It is expensive, but the food is amazing - the staff greeted us like family and when we went back two years later - they remembered our names and what we had eaten on our first visit.  Amazing.

  3. Il Cortile in Little Italy is good but there are sooo many!

  4. Carmine's!!! Awesome food, great ambiance, casual but nice environment. It has a nice bar near the entrance, a large dining area, outdoor seating, parking is easy to find, the entrees are HUGE, the food quality is great.

    Excellent desserts too!

I have enjoyed all of my dining experiences there. Enjoy!
