Question:

Recommendation for a web-cam to capture a stalker.?

To start off, I've already been to the police and the court systems and have a restraining order against this individual. Even though I have this restraining order and have reported every time this person has "popped up" at several locations I've been to, I am certain this person has been on my property when I'm gone (I can't go into the details).

I would like to know if anyone could recommend a good web-cam. I don't have the money for a security system and survalance (sp?) cameras, but figured if I had something I could hook up to my PC computer and leave it on while I'm gone, it may help as evidence. I'm not very familiar with the web-cams and their programs and I don't think I need web-casting (unless if someone knows of an easy and free one, I'd look into it). I plan on setting the web-cam in my window, looking down from a second floor window. It would be nice if it had a time-lapse feature and/or motion detector capability so that it records for a period of time if it sees motion (ie. someone walking across my lawn or driving slowly past my house). Also money, or lack of it, is a little bit of an issue, but not entirely. What megapixels are recommended, keeping in mind I'm trying to capture someone on video and it's being recorded from a second floor window.

Any other advice would be appreciated. Please, keep the information pertaining to the web-cam, not what I should be doing to this individual.

Many thanks.
