Recommendations for a beach holiday with good food, wine, lively and a bit of culture and hot?

Any recommendations please? Am looking at going in September

I would go with Spain or Portugal.  I haven't been to Portugal but I have heard good things about the Algarve and the Azures for a holiday.  I really enjoyed Ibiza, Spain and Costa del Sol, Spain for beach holidays.

Protaras, Cyprus; All you need in one place; hotels are mainly situated along the shoreline of Fig Tree Bay, and Flamingo Bay, and all are within easy walking distance of shops, bars and restaurants. Try The Olympus, Il Basilica, Cafe Parko, and Island Affair....all have a varied menu, and great food.

From here, Hire a car, and check out Agia Napa ( not all booze cruises and lager louts!!!), Pyla ( This little village sits on the border between The South, and the Turkish Occupied North, and though there is no buffer zone here, there is a big U.N. station to ensure the villages live peaceably!!) Couple of nice little tavernas here, then there is Larnaca, Lefkosia ( Nicosia ), where you can walk across the border to the north in Ledras Street ( remember to take your passport) The Troodos Mountains, then on to Kolossi Castle, just outside Lemesos ( Limassol), and onto the Amphitheater at Kourion, and, then of course, there is Aphrodite's Rock, Aphrodite's Birthplace, And, once you have reach Paphos, there are the Mosaics, and The Tombs of The Kings, and a little further north of Paphos, there is Lara where there is a turtle conservation site ( can only be reached by 4x4)

There is so much to see here in Cyprus, and, I can guarantee it will be hot!!! It is currently around 35C during the daytime, dropping to around 30C at night. We haven't had any substantial rain for about two years now, and we are currently experiencing drought conditions, and our water is turned off for several days at a time, though, this isn't affecting the tourist industry in any way.
