A group of 4 to 6 of us want to go skiing/ snowboarding. Three of us have never learned to do either. Can anyone recommend a good mountain in the northeast for us to take lessons during the day and then go out for a few drinks at night? We're looking for a place that would be fun to learn and try.

  1. KILLINGTON!!!!!!---has a long reputation as the best apres ski nightlife in all of new england--i've found myself many times so hurt from the night before that i couldnt make it out the next day...since many of you are learning i would recommend snowboarding at okemo (20 miles away) and staying in the killington area..okemo is much more beginner friendly with long, wide intermediate runs that have plenty of elbow room if it starts getting crowded...or you can ride at Pico which is actually part of killington but a pico pass only gives you access to that mountain which is beginner friendly....killington is not very beginner boarder friendly

  2. Killington VT

    Straton VT

They both have decent night life...  Straton especially.    Are you going to be in the NY area or MA or VT  need specifics on your destination.    awirmusky@yahoo.com
