Recommendations for an spl audio system?

Question

I want to buy a car audio system eg. sub, amp, head unit. i have done some research on the internet but there is alot of conflicting advice.The kind of system i want is spl. I have got about £150 for a sub, £150 for an amp and about £100 for a head unit. Can any one point me in the right direction or give me recommendations for some good spl manufacturers?

Pioneer Holds the World SPL record at the moment with I believe 180.1.

With what you are looking to spend you can put a decent system together. With that much money you should stick to Alpine, Pioneer, and JL for subwoofers

Rockford Fosgate, JL & Alpine make good amps.
