Question:

Recommendations for foot pain

What are your recommendations for an individual who is in her 50s and is experiencing foot pain associated with aging? She's been to a doctor, but he has only given her pain relievers and told her that it is something she'll have to live with. Do you know of any foot rubs, creams, massagers, or foot baths that have helped you or someone you know with foot pain? Are there also any dietary changes that she could make to help naturally reduce the discomfort? Your help or any information that you have would be greatly appreciated.

  1. Is your foot pain in the arch of your foot? I have this and its very painful when I get up or walk around. At night put a ice pack on it for a while with foot elevated, or if you have a rolling pin I take that and roll it underneath my foot that helps also. Where supportative shoes, and when you sleep keep your foot turned to the side before you go to sleep and if you wake up and its moved then put it back on the side. Hope this helps.

  2. Yes, I have the same problem. I went to a foot doctor and had him examine my feet. While he did not give me any medications. He did send me for an MRI  and did x-rays etc and found out what is causing the problem.

A friend told me to try Absorbine (horse lineament) that can be purchased at feed stores. This helps and smells good.

And then there is Motrin OTC works too.
