I am looking to buy what they call a laundry center, where washer and dryer are attached to each other in the back with space between them. NOT a washer and dryer that are stackable, NOR a unit that works as a washer, then when the cycle is over, works as a dryer, and NOT to start a launderette business. I would appreciate recommendations from people who have had their units for 6 months to a year. I'd like to hear about how well the machines clean and dry, whether they are quiet, whether they had maintenance trouble, whether they shake/rumble. I must have an electric not gas dryer, and preferably 110/120 Volt. I do have exhaust and drain in place. I could do a 240 volt unit, if I must, but I'd have to pay extra for an electrician. I like front loading cause they wash more efficiently and are more gentle, plus you can use their top to rest things on. Finally, I don't want a unit where all the controls are all the way up at more than 70 inches off the floor. Whew... thanks!
